Q: What is Empowered Water™?
A: Empowered Water™ is water that has been softened and electrolyzed with our patented EO Water System. Empowered Water™ cleans like soap and eliminates most germs and bacteria instantly — without any chemical additives. The benefit of using this process is that no soap residue is left behind from our cleaning to continue collecting soil after the cleaning. In short, carpets stay cleaner longer and tend to dry faster. Only ZEROREZ® has the exclusive patented rights to clean with this technology in the carpet cleaning industry!
Q: Do you move furniture?
A: We will help move things up to the size of a three seat sofa or less than 50 pounds as long as the items are free and clear of breakables and electronics. This service is free of charge and by request only. We will clean up to and around larger items such as large entertainment centers, bookshelves, and beds. Items we move will be placed on protective slips or blocks to keep them safe from the wet carpet.
We will move, at your request, up to two pieces of furniture per area that we clean at no additional charge. Additional pieces may be moved at an additional service charge, to be determined by the technician.
Q: Is the carpet wet after the cleaning?
A: Yes, our hot water extraction cleaning process does leave some moisture in the carpet. Typical dry time is between 6 and 12 hours, depending on the airflow in the home, condition and style of carpet being cleaned. It is completely safe to walk on the carpet as long as you’re comfortable with the cleanliness of your feet. Feel free to ask your service technician for a complimentary pair of shoe coverings.
Q: Do you have a guarantee? What does it cover?
A: Yes! We are happy to offer a thirty day “Gotta Love It” guarantee! If you are unsatisfied with any aspect of your cleaning PLEASE give us a call within 30 days of your cleaning and we will work diligently to fix any problem or concern you may have. Q: What is considered a “Room” size?
A: We consider a room size to be an area of 30-150 square feet. For rooms that exceed 150 square feet are considered a regular area. Areas larger than 200 square feet can be subject to an additional charge. The service technician will perform a final price assessment of all areas to be cleaned onsite.
Q: What do you charge for rooms?
A: The first room we clean we charge $69, regardless of size (unless it exceeds 250 square feet). Small areas (30-150 square feet) are charged at $30, and between 150-200 square feet the charge is $39. Stairs are priced at $60 for a full set of stairs (typically 14-16 stairs). The service technician will assess all areas to be cleaned on-site for a final quote.
Q: Can I include other items in the three room special, such as a couch or area rug?
A: The ZEROREZ® three room special is only for areas of carpet that are attached to the floor. However, you can book as many of our services into one appointment. We are happy to demonstrate our other cleaning services such as tile, upholstery, and air duct cleaning and provide a quote while on-site, just ask your service technician!
Q: Is a protector applied to the carpet?
A: Your service technician will assess the condition of the carpet on-site and will let you know if it is a good idea to reapply fiber protection to your carpet. The average cost is $35.00 per room or set of stairs.
Q: How do you treat pet stains and odor? Is there an extra charge for the treatment?
A: ZEROREZ® understands accidents happen, causing odor and discoloration in your floors. If not properly treated, biological matter such as urine can create a breeding ground for bacteria and an unhealthy environment. We offer several treatment methods to clean and sanitize areas contaminated by biological matter:
1. Level I Basic Bio Treatment: This is not a guaranteed service. We use this method to treat areas that have mild to moderate biological contamination contained in the surface area of the flooring or fibers.
2. Level II Advanced Bio Treatment: This is not a guaranteed service. This is a deep saturation and extraction process used to treat moderate to severe biological issues that have spread into the carpet backing and/or carpet pad
There is a charge for the above services. Our service technician must assess the issues onsite in order to determine the best treatment and price.
Q: Can I decline a pet service if it’s recommended by a technician?
A: Yes. Do keep in mind in order to achieve an effective treatment for biological issues such as urine, odor and staining; it does require additional cleaning steps and product. Any service recommended by a technician is optional but certainly recommended. If you decline a pet treatment it does void our thirty day satisfaction guarantee for that area of your home.
Q: What about area rugs? Can you clean them in the home or do you take them off-site?
A: We can clean some area rugs in your home as long as there are no biological issues in the rug (such as urine, blood, feces or vomit) and there is an appropriate surface to clean on.
For finer rugs, or rugs that have major soiling such as urine or feces, it is recommended to wash the rug in our facility. We are able to more thoroughly rinse the backing and have more time to allow treatments to work. We also have much more control over the drying of the rugs, to minimize problems.
Q: How do you clean air ducts? What is the cost?
A: We clean air ducts with an advanced rotary brush system that scrubs the interior walls or a negative air system and highly compressed air to blow the dust off of your vents and vacuums the dust, debris and contaminants out to our service truck. We clean each individual vent, both the heat registers and cold air returns. We can also clean the plenum, cooling coil, and heating element. We charge $35.00 per vent opening, however, we discount the service $5 per vent if you remove the vent covers prior to our arrival. We charge $75 per cold air return and $100 each to service the coil and element. A typical system of ten vents would run $450-$600
Q: Do you offer any in-home cleaning products I can buy?
A: Yes. We have three products for in-home cleaning. The first is a general spot remover, ideal for cleaning up food, soda, coffee, general soiling, etc. The second is an enzyme deodorizer that is great for pet stains and other odors in the home. Q: How often should I get my carpet cleaned?
A: Most carpet manufactures recommend your carpet to be professionally cleaned every 12-18 months with a hot water extraction process. This will vary however depending on the usage your carpet gets. Factors include number of people, pets, outdoor environment and how well carpet is maintained between cleanings. We also advise you check the warranty information on your carpet. Many carpet manufactures require you have your carpets professionally cleaned every 12-18 months in order to keep the warranty valid on your carpet.
Q: What are the black lines around the baseboards and under doorways?
A: This is especially noticed on light colored carpet. This soiling is called filtration soiling because it comes from air passing through the carpet as it is attempting to get through the space between the carpet and the baseboard or closed door. This occurs over a significant period of time and is not noticed until a build-up has occurred.
This type of soiling is difficult to remove because the soil particles are so fine that they penetrate deep into the carpet pile and often into the backing of the carpet. With special effort, reasonable results can sometimes be achieved. To help prevent filtration soiling, vacuum and wipe the edges of the carpet on a regular basis.
